Topic: The History and Development of Autonomous Vehicles Presentation: This presentation will explore the evolution of Autonomous Vehicles (CAV—Computer Assisted Vehicles), including FCC approval processes, manufacturer advancements, and the organizations responsible for developing laws and standards governing CAV technology.Presenter: Jeffrey J. LaBarge, CSP, ARM, is the Principal of S & J Risk Management, LLC in Clifton Park, NY, providing comprehensive safety and risk‑management consulting services to the general building and heavy highway construction industries. With expertise in traffic studies, work‑zone planning, construction safety compliance, crane‑lift plan reviews, ergonomic assessments, and accident investigations, he supports numerous major contractors across Upstate New York and is a licensed NYS Code Rule 59 and 60 Workplace Safety Consultant. A Clarkson University graduate with a B.S. in Industrial Management and Marketing, Jeff has been a Certified Safety Professional since 1992 and holds the Associate in Risk Management designation. His professional involvement includes the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the ANSI A10.47 Work Zones Subcommittee, the Clifton Park Highway Safety Committee, ATSSA certifications, ASSP membership, and participation in the NYS AGC Safety Committee
